The Global Pik Up, Mahindra Scorpio N-based pickup truck has been spotted testing in India for the first time. The Global Pik Up concept was showcased at an event in South Africa earlier this year by Mahindra. Recently surfaced spy video shows what seems to be the pre-production version of the same pickup truck on Indian Street.

The Mahindra Scorpio N-based pickup truck will be launched in South African, Indian, ASEAN, Central and South American and Australian markets. The Mahindra Global Pik Up is also scheduled to be launched in the Indian market in 2025.

The spy images exhibit a toned down design when compared to the South Africa Global Pik Up concept. In the pictures, the Mahindra logo is absent and the taillights from first-gen Scorpio are seen adding another layer to an already heavily camouflaged pickup truck.

Moreover, the test vehicle is seen with dual-tone Scorpio N alloy wheels and an integral roll cage. The pictures also show a handle in the middle which was at the top in the Global Pik Up concept version. The skid plate and massive rear bumper from the concept are also not present in the pre-production version.

The Mahindra Scorpio N-based pickup truck is expected to be powered by an updated version of Scorpio N’s 2.2-litre diesel engine. The pickup truck will be available in both 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic transmission options. The truck will feature a 4-wheel drive system with multi drive mode options.

The official launch date and price is yet to be disclosed but the pickup truck is expected to be launched in the Indian market by 2025. The starting ex-showroom price of the Mahindra Global Pik Up is also expected to be around INR 25 lakhs. The leading competitors for this pickup truck will be the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu V-Cross.
