Mahindra Paves the Way for Education: Scholarships for CV Drivers' Daughters

Mahindra & Mahindra, one of India's leading automotive manufacturers, has announced a pioneering scholarship program aimed at the daughters of commercial vehicle (CV) drivers. The company will provide scholarships to the daughters of truck drivers under the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan.

Under this initiative, Mahindra Group will provide financial assistance to young girls aspiring to pursue higher education, thereby opening doors to a world of opportunities they may have otherwise found inaccessible.

According to a news release, Mahindra is one of the first commercial vehicle manufacturers to pioneer this program. The shortlisted individuals will receive a Rs 10,000 scholarship as well as a certificate of achievement.

The Mahindra Truck and Bus Division's commitment to the truck driver community began in 2014 with the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan, which has provided scholarships to 8928 truck drivers' daughters to date.

"We are thrilled to provide the daughters of truck drivers with the opportunity to dream big and the assistance they need to fly towards their career aspirations through this initiative. Our drivers and partners have enthusiastically embraced Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan, demonstrating its success in aiding young ladies to attain their goals," he added.

The initiative began in 2014, and the initial outreach was carried out through a reach-out program at 75 transport hubs across India, as well as a defined, transparent, and independent process. So far, 8,928 young females have received scholarships through the project, allowing them to follow their dreams.
