LPG Cylinder Prices Reduced: Check the New Rates for Your City

On January 1, 2025, oil and gas companies made an announcement that will benefit LPG consumers. The prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been reduced by 14 to 16 rupees in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. However, the price of the 14 kg domestic LPG cylinders has not changed, and it will remain the same.

How Much Will the LPG Cylinder Cost in Your City Now?

• Delhi: The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has dropped from Rs 1818.50 to Rs 1804, a reduction of Rs 14.50.
• Mumbai: The price in Mumbai has decreased by Rs 15, from Rs 1771 to Rs 1756.
• Kolkata: Here, the price has fallen by Rs 16, from Rs 1927 to Rs 1911.
• Chennai: The price is now Rs 1966, down from Rs 1980.50, a reduction of Rs 14.50.
• Jaipur: In Jaipur, the price has dropped by Rs 14.50 to Rs 1831.50.

Here are the updated prices for 19 kg commercial cylinders in other major cities:

• Noida: Rs 1802.50
• Gurgaon: Rs 1820
• Bangalore: Rs 1880.50
• Bhubaneswar: Rs 1950.50
• Chandigarh: Rs 1824
• Hyderabad: Rs 2028
• Lucknow: Rs 1925
• Patna: Rs 2073
• Thiruvananthapuram: Rs 1833

Changes in Commercial Cylinder Prices Over the Last 5 Months

The last time the price of a 19 kg LPG cylinder changed before this January was on December 1, 2024, when it went up by Rs 16.50. Over the past few months, the prices had been increasing steadily. But now, after five months, consumers can enjoy a price reduction for commercial cylinders.

No Change in Domestic LPG Cylinder Prices

The prices for 14 kg domestic LPG cylinders have remained the same for a long time. Since August 1, 2024, there has been no change in the prices. On January 1, 2025, the prices will remain as follows:

• Delhi: Rs 803
• Kolkata: Rs 829
• Mumbai: Rs 802.50
• Chennai: Rs 818.50

Subsidy for Women Under Government Schemes

The government provides subsidies to women from low-income families through the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and the National Food Security Scheme. This allows them to buy domestic LPG cylinders at much lower rates. For example:

• In Jaipur, the subsidized price is Rs 506.50 (after a Rs 300 subsidy).
• In Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, women can get the cylinder for Rs 450.
• In Uttar Pradesh, women benefit from free cylinders twice a year during Holi and Diwali.
