It can also be used as a portable generator wherever power is required because it has electrical outlets.

At its Tech Day event, CNH Industrial unveiled the industry's first electric and methane LNG tractor. CNH executives revealed that the methane LNG tractor will be powered by crop stubble, which could be a game changer in India, where paddy stubble burning has a negative impact on the environment.
A methane LNG pilot project is already up and running on a farm in the United Kingdom. However, the CNH team in India appears to have already begun work in this area. The New Holland T4 Electric Power Utility Tractor is a pioneer in reducing agriculture's carbon footprint while also signalling a shift toward electrification and alternative fuels. The T4 is an ideal tractor for lower horsepower operations and is well suited to the orchard, municipality, and other operations.
As per the senior officials of the company, alternative fuels and electrification are a top priority. The company has made substantial investments in India and has a large office in Gurugram where it focuses on both global and Indian markets.
Derek Nielsen, President of Agriculture, commented that the company's priority in the Indian market is the adoption of innovation. "Our western-style combine harvester was the first to be sold in India, a country where technology adoption is rapidly increasing. With our New Holland brand, we've been there for decades, and you'll see technology adoption very soon. "He stated.
The tractor's drive train is fully electrified, with a 75hp continuous duty motor capable of producing up to the power of 120hp, max torque, four-wheel drive, and a top speed of 25 miles per hour. According to CNH executives, depending on the mission profile, the tractor has an eight-hour run time and can be recharged from 10% to 80% in less than an hour using DC fast charging.
It can also be used as a portable generator anywhere power is required because it has electrical outlets. The T4 is said to produce 90% less noise and vibration than a comparable diesel tractor, as well as it gives a 360-degree view of the vehicle and has driver-assist features.
The tractor can run for eight hours and is outfitted with advanced technology. It emits 98% less particulate matter and CO2 than fossil fuels. According to the company's estimates, using fossil natural gas emits 11% less CO2, using biomethane from waste emits 80% less, and using fugitive methane emits 180% less.
