Farmers across Uttar Pradesh have until December 31, 2024, to register for the Agri Stack Scheme, which includes the creation of a unique Farmer ID (Kisan Registry). What is Farmer ID and Why is it Important?

The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is implementing the Farmer Registry to create a transparent and efficient system for distributing agricultural benefits. This initiative is part of the Agri Stack Scheme and provides a digital ID for every farm. Only registered farmers will be eligible for financial assistance, insurance, subsidies, and other welfare schemes.

The Farmer ID will include details such as the farmer's name, Aadhaar number, mobile number, land ownership records, and e-KYC information.

Progress Across Districts

As of December 28, 2024, significant progress has been made:

  • Jaunpur District leads the state with 1,09,048 Farmer IDs created.
  • Rampur follows in second place with 92,026 IDs, and Ambedkar Nagar is third with 66,115 IDs.
  • Maharajganj and Pilibhit secure fourth and fifth places with 66,550 IDs and 50,399 IDs, respectively.

District Magistrates are actively organizing camps and campaigns to encourage registration in rural areas.

How to Register for Farmer ID

Farmers can register for their Farmer ID through the following methods:

  1. Online Portal or Mobile App
    • Visit upfr.agristack.gov.in or download the Farmer Registry UP app.
    • Enter your Aadhaar number, mobile number, and land details to complete the registration.
  2. Public Service Centers (CSCs)
    • Farmers can visit their nearest Jan Seva Kendra or attend camps organized at Panchayat Bhawans.
    • Required documents include:
      • Aadhaar Card
      • Khatauni (land ownership document)
      • Family ID or Ration Card
  3. Government Camps
    • The government has set up camps across villages to help farmers with registration.
