Nearly 1.25 crore women beneficiaries of Madhya Pradesh’s Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana are waiting for the 39th installment. The monthly assistance of ₹1,500 is expected to be credited slightly later than usual this month. While the government has not officially announced the payment date, reports and administrative preparations suggest that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav may transfer the installment to beneficiaries bank accounts on August 19 during a proposed visit to Maihar district.
There is also discussion about whether women will receive an additional ₹250 as Rakshabandhan shagun. If such an amount is officially announced, eligible beneficiaries could receive a total of ₹1,750. However, the additional ₹250 has not been confirmed by the Madhya Pradesh government.
Under the Ladli Behna Yojana, funds are generally transferred to beneficiaries before the 15th of every month. This time, however, the payment has reportedly been delayed due to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's various programmes and Independence Day-related events.
The installment was earlier expected around Rakshabandhan, but August 19 has now emerged as a possible date. Administrative preparations have reportedly started for the Chief Minister's proposed visit to Maihar district. The official account of the Maihar District Collector has also shared information regarding a review of arrangements for the proposed visit.
It is therefore being speculated that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav may release the 39th installment from Maihar on August 19. However, beneficiaries should note that the Madhya Pradesh government has not yet officially confirmed either the programme or the installment release date. Until an official announcement is made, August 19 should be treated only as a tentative date.
The regular monthly amount under the Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana is currently ₹1,500. Therefore, if the 39th installment is released, around 1.25 crore eligible women are expected to receive ₹1,500 directly in their bank accounts.
Women are also waiting to know whether the government will announce an additional ₹250 as Rakshabandhan shagun. If this extra amount is approved, the total payment could rise to ₹1,750.
At present, however, there is no official announcement regarding the ₹250 shagun. As a result, beneficiaries should expect the regular ₹1,500 amount unless the state government makes a separate announcement.
The possibility of an additional ₹250 payment has created curiosity among Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiaries. In previous years, announcements regarding additional shagun payments on occasions such as Rakshabandhan and Bhai Dooj had led many women to expect a similar benefit this time.
However, the government has not yet confirmed any additional ₹250 payment for Rakshabandhan. Last year, on Bhai Dooj, the monthly honorarium for Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiaries was increased from ₹1,250 to ₹1,500, but a separate ₹250 shagun was not provided at that time.
Based on the current information, the chances of receiving an additional ₹250 appear uncertain. Therefore, women should avoid relying on rumours and wait for an official government update before expecting ₹1,750 in their accounts.
Before the release of the 39th installment, the verification of beneficiary records and eligibility is also being discussed. According to reports, more than 7 lakh names have been removed from the Ladli Behna Yojana beneficiary list due to failure to meet eligibility conditions or discrepancies found in records.
Women who are concerned that their names may have been removed should check their beneficiary status. They can visit the official Ladli Behna Yojana portal and use the “Application and Payment Status” option.
This allows beneficiaries to check the status of their application and verify whether their previous installment has been credited.
Women who have not completed their e-KYC should complete the process as soon as possible. e-KYC is important for verifying the identity and eligibility of beneficiaries.
The process can be completed through the Samagra portal. Beneficiaries should also ensure that their eligibility details and other required documents are correct and updated to avoid problems in receiving scheme benefits.
As the expected August 19 payment date has not yet been officially confirmed, beneficiaries are advised to regularly check official Madhya Pradesh government and scheme updates rather than trusting social media rumours or unofficial claims.
