JK Tyre Partners with EKA Mobility for Advanced EV Solutions

JK Tyre & Industries has formed a strategic alliance with EKA Mobility, a leading participant in the electric mobility sector, and equity partners Mitsui Co., Ltd. (Japan) and VDL Groep (Netherlands).

The collaboration agreement was signed in Pune by Sanjeev Sharma, AVP, Fleet Management & Mobility Solutions at JK Tyre, and Vijaykumar Yelne, President of EKA Mobility.

This collaboration strengthens JK Tyre's position as a market leader in "Connected Mobility Solutions," which include a unique cloud-based monitoring system. 

Supply of Advanced EV Tyres

Under this partnership, JK Tyre will supply EKA's fleet with next-generation EV tyres. These tyres are equipped with Connected Treel Sensors for real-time monitoring. 

JK Tyre will offer 24/7 support through a dedicated team of professionals. This team will be stationed at depots and offer enroute assistance. Initially, the support will focus on EKA's fleet in Mumbai, with plans to expand across all cities.

Vijaykumar Yelne, President of EKA Mobility, highlighted that this partnership is a significant step towards their vision of Environment-Conscious Mobility. He expressed excitement about combining JK Tyre’s expertise in tyre manufacturing with EKA’s innovative EV technology to enhance the performance of electric vehicles and contribute to a sustainable future.

Srinivasu Allaphan, Director-Sales & Marketing at JK Tyre, stated that the company is leading industry transformation with cutting-edge technologies and products. He emphasized the partnership's alignment with JK Tyre's commitment to innovation and excellence in tyre management, ensuring unparalleled service and support.
