JK Tyre & Industries, a key player in the Off-the-Road (OTR) tyre market, has introduced a new range of tyres designed for the mining industry at the Bauma Conexpo 2024 in India. The newly launched models include:

• 17.5-25 VEM 63 L5 for wheel loaders
• 16.00-25 VEM 99D E3 for wide-body dump trucks
• 12.00-24 VEM SMOOTH L5S for load haul dumpers
• 300-15 JET LIFT for forklifts
• 10/75-15.3 MPT117 for self-loading concrete mixers

These tyres are specially engineered to offer enhanced durability and improved performance in the tough conditions of mining operations.

The event was led by Anuj Kathuria, President (India) of JK Tyre & Industries, and Debasis Khuntia, Head of OTR at JK Tyre. The company also showcased its smart tyre technology, including the Treel system, which monitors tyre pressure and temperature. This technology aims to improve efficiency in heavy-duty mining machinery, reaffirming JK Tyre’s focus on smart mobility solutions.

VEM 63 L5: Features an extra-deep tread design, reinforced sidewalls, broad lugs for stability, and tough nylon casing for better load capacity.

VEM 99D E3: Built with a chevron pattern for heat dissipation and cut resistance. It offers superior handling and durability.

VEM SMOOTH L5S: Designed for long tread life and stability. It is suitable for harsh mining environments.

JET LIFT: Provides excellent stability, wear resistance, and durability with a silica-based compound.

MPT 117: It offers enhanced mileage and load capacity for both on-road and off-road applications.
