JK Tyre & Industries has launched an advanced range of tyres tailored to meet the evolving needs of the transportation sector. These new tyres were developed at JK Tyre's advanced R&D centre in Mysuru, using state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. The company has introduced four new tyre models designed to enhance performance, operational efficiency, and sustainability for commercial vehicles.
The four new tyre models introduced by JK Tyre are the JETWAY JUM XM, JETWAY JUC XM, JETSTEEL JDC XD, and the innovative JETWAY JUXe, designed specifically for electric buses.
The JETWAY JUM XM is the most energy-efficient tyre in its category, featuring a 4-Star Rating and an RRc value of 4.9 KN/n. This next-generation tubeless tyre is specifically designed for buses and trucks. It sets new benchmarks for fuel economy and cost optimization, promising significant fuel savings for transporters. Fuel expenses account for approximately 50% of total operating costs in India, making this tyre a crucial solution for reducing costs. Additionally, by decreasing fuel consumption, the JETWAY JUM XM also helps in significantly cutting down carbon emissions, offering a sustainable and economically viable solution for the transportation industry.
The JETWAY JUC XM and JETSTEEL JDC XD tyres are engineered to meet current demands for enhanced performance, durability, and efficiency. The JETWAY JUC XM is developed for tippers and trailers, boasting a remarkable 10% longer tyre life. This longer lifespan translates to lower operational costs and increased efficiency for transporters. On the other hand, the JETSTEEL JDC XD tyre is designed to handle the demanding requirements of heavy-load transportation, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability in both on-road and off-road conditions. Known for its durability and sturdiness, this tyre is ideal for use in tippers on drive and dummy axles.
The JETWAY JUXe is a revolutionary tyre specially designed for electric buses. This tyre is set to redefine performance and sustainability standards in the electric vehicle (EV) segment. The JETWAY JUXe features low RRc, enabling electric buses to travel more kilometres per charge. This enhances efficiency and operational cost savings for electric bus operators. Besides its energy-efficient design, the JETWAY JUXe also marks JK Tyre's foray into low-noise tyres, contributing to a quieter urban environment and promoting eco-friendly transportation solutions. These tyres are ideal for the evolving needs of India's sustainable mobility landscape. The JETWAY JUXe tyre will also be deployed on TATA Motor’s EV buses, showcasing a collaborative effort to drive innovation and sustainability in India's public transportation sector.
Anuj Kathuria, President (India) of JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, highlighted the company's dedication to delivering high-performance, economically viable, and environmentally conscious solutions. He stated, "As a leader in this category, we have a deep understanding of the segment and feel a responsibility to introduce sustainable solutions with advanced technology. Our latest offerings demonstrate our unwavering commitment to delivering high-performance, economically viable, and environmentally conscious solutions. We are confident that these tyres will serve as a dependable companion for fleet operators, ensuring safety on the move.”
Each of these new tyres has undergone extensive testing in various conditions to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. JK Tyre's continuous focus on research and development ensures that their products not only meet but exceed industry standards.
