In May 2023, Tata Motors Limited sold 28,989 automobiles in both domestic and foreign markets, compared to 32,818 units in May 2022. The company ended the month of May 2023 with a 12% decrease in domestic commercial vehicle sales and a 1% increase in export commercial vehicle sales. Overall, Commercial vehicle sales are declining.

Total commercial vehicle sales were 28,989 units, a decrease of 12% from 32,818 units in May 2022.

HCV and ILMCV Trucks

The company experienced an 11% increase in the HCV Trucks category and a 38% drop in the ILMCV category. The brand sold 8160 units in May 2023 under the HCV Trucks category, compared to 7343 units sold in May 2022.

The ILMCV truck category, on the other hand, reported sales of 3450 units in May 2023, compared to 5540 units in May 2022.

Passenger Carriers and SCV cargo and pickup Category

The company experienced a 7% increase in Passenger Carriers and a 19% decline in SCV cargo and pickup Categories. In the Passenger Carriers category, the brand sold 3874 units in May 2023, compared to 3632 units sold in May 2022.In the SCV cargo and pickup category, the brand sold 12,086 units in May 2023, compared to 14,899 units sold in May 2022.

Total sales for the Domestic MH&ICV in May 2023, comprising trucks and buses, were 11,442 units, up from 12,056 units in May 2022.

In May 2023, total sales for the MH&ICV Domestic & International Business, including trucks and buses, were 11,958 units, up from 12,810 units in May 2022.
