The Government of India has launched PM Kisan Tractor Yojana. The primary benefit is limited to farmers. The state government will be in charge of this scheme. The Haryana government is subsidizing the purchase of new tractors with more than 35 horsepower for scheduled caste farmers and groups. In this case, the farmer can buy a tractor from a state-approved dealership. The farmer may purchase a tractor on his initiative from any of the companies notified by the department. The farmer selected for the scheme must first purchase a tractor. Following that, the farmer must submit the tractor purchase receipt to the department, and the tractor subsidy amount will be paid to him.

The Haryana government has decided to provide subsidies to scheduled caste farmers for the purchase of tractors. The primary goal of this scheme is to provide tractors to economically disadvantaged farmers and scheduled caste groups, allowing them to benefit from and perform farming work more easily.

How to Apply Online

Haryana's Agriculture Department will provide a 50% subsidy, up to Rs. 3 lakhs. Farmers have been asked to apply for the program. Farmers interested in applying can apply through the Saral Portal until January 10, 2023.

Through the SB 89 scheme, the Haryana government is subsidizing the purchase of a new tractor for scheduled caste farmers. Under this program, farmers can get tractors for half the price. Only scheduled caste farmers and their groups are eligible for the scheme.

Criteria for the subsidy scheme

  • This scheme is only available to farmers and groups belonging to the state's scheduled castes. Only scheduled caste farmers and groups registered on the "Meri Fasal, Mera Byora" portal will get benefits.
  • The farmer who applies for this scheme must be a permanent resident of Haryana.
  • The farmer applying for subsidies must be at least 18 years old.
  • Farmers who have not received a tractor subsidy under any government scheme in the previous seven years will be eligible for this scheme.
  • The tractor purchase receipt must be presented to the Agriculture Department's office. For the next five years, farmers will be unable to sell their subsidized tractors. For this, the farmer must submit an affidavit.
  • If a farmer sells the subsidized tractor before five years, the farmer must repay the department the subsidy amount plus interest.
