In a groundbreaking move to revolutionize agricultural practices in Haryana, Jai Prakash Dalal, the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, introduced an innovative government initiative aimed at promoting the use of nano-fertilizers through drones.
The announcement was made during the 'Agricultural Drone Technology Workshop and Agricultural Drone Distribution Program' organized by IFFCO at IFFCO FMDI in Gurugram's Sector 17. The initiative will benefit both farmers and entrepreneurs.
Under this program, farmers in Haryana can now avail themselves of urea spraying in their fields using drones for a nominal fee of INR 100. Minister Dalal, addressing participants from various districts, encouraged drone enthusiasts to consider participating in IFFCO's Drone Promotion Scheme, which offers a path for advancement.
The scheme will benefit entrepreneurs and contribute to lowering production costs for farmers, ultimately enhancing agricultural output. Minister Dalal distributed drones and electric vehicles to seven participants during the event, emphasising their important role in providing enhanced services to local farmers.
He highlighted that the adoption of agricultural drones would not only empower entrepreneurs and rural women but also significantly contribute to increasing farm productivity. Minister Dalal recommended the use of IFFCO nano fertilisers as a measure to improve both farmer income and soil health.
