Gulf Oil Lubricants India, a Hinduja Group company, has signed an exclusive supply agreement with Altigreen for EV Fluids such as brake and gear oils. As a result of this collaboration, Gulf Oil will produce customized EV fluids for commercial electric vehicle manufacturer Altigreen. On December 23, Ravi Chawla, MD and CEO of Gulf Oil India, and Dr Amitabh Saran, co-founder and CEO of Altigreen, signed a strategic agreement in Bengaluru.

The collaboration provides Altigreen with direct access to Gulf Oil India's R&D capabilities to develop a comprehensive portfolio of vehicle fluids optimized for EV needs. The first product, AGP Gear Oil, will be available soon through Altigreen's sales and service channels. Altigreen's low-deck and high-deck cargo electric vehicles will now be powered by this and other specially formulated Gulf EV Fluids.

Altigreen is an electric three-wheeler manufacturer backed by Sixth Sense, Xponentia, and Reliance. Over 1,000 electric three-wheelers are on Indian roads, serving the last-mile mobility segment.

Gulf introduced a wide range of EV fluids such as Gulf Formula Hybrid, Gulf eLEC Coolant, Gulf eLEC Driveline Fluid, and Gulf eLEC Brake Fluid. Gulf Oil launched its EV fluid in October 2021, with specially formulated products such as Gulf Formula Hybrid for EVs and hybrid vehicles, eLEC Coolant, eLEC Driveline Fluid, and eLEC Brake Fluid.

This collaboration demonstrates that both brands are committed to assisting India in meeting environmental targets, including progress toward vehicle electrification by 2030. Now the companies understand the changing demands of EVs and develop products that will go a long way with each vehicle. EV Fluids will provide advanced solutions that further improve the efficiency and driveability of EVs for customers and end-users. These EV fluids will provide optimal lubrication, increasing the durability of e-axle components.
