Goodyear Introduces the RL-5K Off-the-Road Tyre for Heavy-Duty Loaders

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has unveiled its latest innovation: the RL-5K Off-the-Road (OTR) tyre designed specifically for large wheel loaders and wheel dozers. This new radial OTR tyre comes in the 45/65R45 size and boasts impressive features to enhance performance and durability.

Here are the key highlights of the RL-5K:

Three-Star Load Capacity: The RL-5K is Goodyear's newest radial OTR tyre in the 45/65R45 tyre size, designed to handle the air pressure required to deliver an increased three-star load rating, resulting in a 16% improvement in weight carrying ability. 

Deep Tread Design: The RL-5K features a deep, 250-level durable tread that provides excellent cut resistance and ensures traction even in severe underfoot conditions.

Stability and Ride Comfort: The tyre’s construction includes a stronger radial carcass with a larger bead section and stronger ply wires. This design not only enhances uniform product performance but also promotes a softer ride and improved treadwear.

Multi-Directional Tread Pattern: The solid centerline of the tread pattern supports high torque applications while ensuring long wear and a smooth ride.

Hi-Stability Technology: Incorporated in the radial sidewall and casing construction, this technology enhances stability, reduces bucket sway, and increases machine stability during loading operations.

Loic Ravasio, General Manager of Global & Americas OTR at Goodyear, emphasised the company’s commitment to meeting customer needs.
