The Government of Maharashtra is promoting horticulture and agriculture businesses with a new initiative called the Fruit and Grain Festival Subsidy Scheme. This scheme aims to connect producers of seasonal fruits like mangoes, oranges, grapes, and more directly with consumers through special festivals. These festivals focus solely on the sale of fruits and grains. Under this scheme, the government offers a subsidy of up to Rs 1 lakh for setting up stalls at these festivals.
The scheme provides clear guidelines on who can benefit. Eligible beneficiaries include:
Financial assistance is provided at Rs 2,000 per stall. The subsidy covers a minimum of 10 stalls and a maximum of 50 stalls per festival. Thus, the maximum subsidy one can receive is Rs 1 lakh for 50 stalls.
