Farmers will Shine as Special Guests in 75th Republic Day Celebrations

The Republic Day parade will begin with 100 female artists performing traditional Indian musical instruments. The music of Sankh, Naadswaram, Nagada, and others will resonate as the march begins.

The 75th Republic Day Parade is happening on January 26, 2024, at Kartavya Path. This time, it's all about celebrating women's empowerment and showcasing diverse achievements. The theme is 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Bharat - Loktantra ki Matruka.'

Guess what? The parade will shine a spotlight on the awesome women of our country. They'll lead the march, showing India's amazing cultural diversity and progress. This time, the parade will highlight the importance of empowering women and celebrating various achievements.

The main themes are 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Bharat - Loktantra ki Matruka,' announced by Defence Secretary Shri Giridhar Aramane. He said that the parade will mainly feature women marching groups, showing India's diverse culture and progress. This supports Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's idea that 'India is truly a mother of democracy.' So, the parade will focus on women's power and India's cultural richness.

The parade will begin with 100 female artists performing traditional Indian musical instruments, a unique spectacle. The music of Sankh, Naadswaram, Nagada, and others will resonate as the march begins.

The main guest at the event is Mr. Emmanuel Macron, the President of France. He is coming to make the event special. From France, there will be 95 people marching and 33 people playing music in a band. Also, there will be aeroplanes from the French Air Force flying over in the parade.

The parade is important because it shows what the government wants to achieve, which is people working together. About 13,000 special guests, who are excellent in different areas and help with government plans, are invited. They will sit in an important place called Kartavya Path.

This year, the government wants to give special attention to farmers. 1,500 farmers and their spouses are invited as special guests. This is because the government wants to recognise and appreciate the important work that farmers do for the country. Last year, 500 farmers were invited too, showing how much the government values their contribution to the nation's agriculture.

For the first time, there will be an all-women Tri-Service group marching at Kartavya Path. They will be joined by women personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Defence Secretary Aramane is thrilled, calling it the "best representation of women" in the parade.

The list of VIP guests includes Vibrant Village Sarpanches, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan women workers, officials from the electronic manufacturing sector, international sports event winners, Yoga teachers from Ayushman Bharat, Paralympic medalists, National School Band Competition winners and many more.
