The agriculture department has changed the process for booking subsidized seeds. Previously, farmers could book seeds directly online. Now, only registered farmers can access government schemes and 50% subsidy benefits. This change applies to all districts, including Hardoi.
Booking for Kharif season seeds began on April 23. The department has prepared for large-scale seed distribution this year. Demand for government seeds increases each year, so an e-lottery system will select beneficiaries. A committee led by the district magistrate will oversee the process to ensure transparency. Only those selected in the lottery will receive seeds.
Farmers must visit the official website, agridarshan.up.gov.in, to register and book seeds. The last date for booking is May 10. Seeds will be distributed through government seed stores in each block using PoS machines. The department urges farmers to check their registration status and book seeds early to avoid missing the deadline.
The Kharif season brings high demand for seeds, so timely registration and booking are essential. The department recommends sharing this information with other farmers to ensure everyone benefits from the scheme.
These changes aim to streamline the distribution process and prevent misuse of subsidies. The government wants to ensure that only eligible and registered farmers receive subsidized seeds. The e-lottery system increases fairness and transparency in beneficiary selection.
The agriculture department continues to provide updates and accurate information through official channels. Farmers are encouraged to rely on verified sources for the latest guidelines and procedures related to seed distribution and government schemes.
