There is great news for farmers in Madhya Pradesh. The government has launched a beneficial scheme under PM Kusum Yojana-C, which allows farmers to buy a solar pump worth ₹5 lakh for just ₹50,000. The rest of the amount, ₹4.5 lakh, will be paid by the government as financial support.
This initiative will help reduce farmer’s dependence on costly electricity and diesel. The government aims to make farmers self-reliant in energy for irrigation and improve their agricultural productivity.

According to the Chief Minister, the registration for solar pumps is open, and farmers can book a pump by paying only 10% of its cost. This means if the pump costs ₹5 lakh, the farmer only needs to pay ₹50,000.
The scheme currently supports solar pumps of up to 3 horsepower. After registration, farmers will receive government-backed solar pumps that are highly reliable and energy-efficient.
The government plans to register around 1 lakh farmers under this scheme. Farmers who had applied earlier will be given priority, followed by new applicants. The scheme is designed to ensure more farmers get access to affordable and eco-friendly irrigation solutions.
With this scheme, farmers can expect long-term savings on electricity and fuel, making their farming operations more sustainable.

KYC documents (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN Card, Driving License, etc.)
Passport-size photo of the applicant
Land ownership proof (such as land records)
Bank account details with a copy of the bank passbook
Quotation or invoice (if available)
Project report (if available)
IT returns (if available)
