ETO Motors, India's leading EMaaS (Electric Mobility as a Service) Company, launched last-mile services with Women Driver Partners from Azadpur Metro Station, Delhi. Thunderbox, ETO's EV charging solution, will be installed across Delhi at various Metro Stations, Residential Societies, Public/Semi-Public Malls, and other locations. This will allow all women to have easy access to charging points for e2W and e3W, reducing driver range anxiety.
ETO Motors will add 100 more e-autos to Delhi roads over the next two months, and more Parking & Charging Hubs will be built at Kalka Ji, Uttam Nagar, Dwarka, and Majlis Park metro stations. This effort will improve the first and last-mile experiences of metro commuters in Delhi.
The vehicle manufacturer has collaborated with the Delhi Transport Department, GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, School of Driving & Training Institute, Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR), Sarai Kale Khan, and MOWO social initiatives to mobilize and train them.
Pavan Chavali, Managing Director of ETO Motors, stated that as part of its commitment to greater gender diversity, the company has trained 100 young unemployed women to drive electric vehicles in the 100% EV city of Kevadia (Ekta Nagar) in Gujarat and that the company is now planning to deploy 300 electric vehicles at Metro Stations in Delhi in a phased manner in collaboration with DMRC.
According to a company press release, as part of this initiative, it will deploy its Trilux 1.0 L5 category passenger e-auto. Notably, the e3W is powered by a 7.37 kWh lithium-ion battery with a claimed range of 100 km and a top speed of 45 kmph.
The company will add 100 more e-autos to Delhi roads in the next two months, as well as more parking and charging hubs at Kalka Ji, Uttam Nagar, Dwarka, and Majlis Park metro stations, according to the release.
In recent years, DMRC has implemented numerous eco-friendly initiatives to ensure a robust last-mile connectivity system, allowing commuters to prefer non-polluting public transportation modes over personal vehicles,
