EKA Mobility announces a collaboration with Shuzlan Energy, a charging infrastructure provider, to provide customers with a safe, convenient, and accessible EV charging infrastructure and advanced charging stations for public transportation across India.
Shuzlan Energy will be one of the official electric charging solution providers for EKA's 9-meter electric bus as part of the collaboration and will set up charging stations of 30kW, 60kW, and 120kW for customers across the country.
EKA's recently launched 9-meter electric bus provides a solid platform for sustainable and efficient public transportation in cities worldwide, as well as dependable and profitable operations for customers. The product, which was completely designed and manufactured in India, has received ARAI's Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) certification.
The EKA 9 has 32 seats, including one for the driver and 31 for the passengers. It has a range of up to 200 kilometers on a single full charge. The EKA 9's first batch will be on the road soon.
EKA's 2.5-ton electric light commercial vehicle has also received Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR) certification from the Central Institute of Road Transport (CIRT).
"As we transition to green mobility, our solutions are at the forefront of assisting cities across the country in discovering the value of electrification and ensuring a smooth transition by enabling a strong, reliable, and sustainable ecosystem. We look forward to democratizing EVs with best-in-class TCO (total cost of ownership) solutions and sustainable ecosystems by providing a wide range of necessary solutions and technologies in an integrated, streamlined, and operationally efficient manner" Sudhir Mehta, chairman of EKA Mobility, commented.
"We are thrilled to be working with EKA Mobility on this environmentally friendly project. Through our charging stations, we are on a mission to provide smart, sustainable e-mobility solutions. We have also begun to install charging stations in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.
