In a significant move towards sustainable logistics, Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) and Kissan Mobility Pvt. Ltd., a provider of zero-emission logistics, unveiled a strategic alliance on 16 January 2024 in New Delhi. The partnership aims to roll out electric three-wheeler cargo vehicles for last-mile delivery throughout India.

As per the agreement terms, OSM is set to supply Kissan Mobility with a fleet of 500 electric three-wheelers by June 2024. This initiative marks a major step in the shift towards environmentally friendly logistics solutions.

The partnership, worth INR 20 Crores, covers a wide array of applications. These include E-commerce, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), and Fast-Moving Consumer Durables (FMCD), indicating a comprehensive approach to transforming the logistics sector.

The growing consciousness about environmental sustainability, along with supportive government policies and decreased operational expenses, has accelerated the uptake of electric three-wheelers by logistics firms aiming to minimize their ecological impact and streamline costs. These vehicles are instrumental in facilitating e-commerce deliveries and cargo movement within industrial estates, leading to a decrease in noise and air pollution.

With ongoing improvements in battery technology, electric three-wheelers are set to become increasingly significant in the evolution of sustainable urban logistics. The strategic alliance between Omega Seiki Mobility and Kissan Mobility (OnEv) exemplifies this commitment to transforming the transportation sector through the provision of state-of-the-art electric vehicles designed to cater to the changing demands of the logistics industry.

We are a zero-emission logistic company and committed to changing the logistic landscape of urban and rural areas of the country. We are confident in the product lineup of OSM and their service support, which will be key factor for our expansion. These 500 numbers are just a start, and we aim to deploy 2500 numbers of three-wheelers and a similar number of four-wheelers on the road by March 2025."
