Subsidies for farm machinery are a crucial step in addressing the issue of labour scarcity that farmers face. Farmers may ensure the timely completion of numerous farming chores by using these machines, improving efficiency and productivity.
V.P. Jayaseelan, Collector of Virudhunagar, underlined the need for farmers to register and submit the relevant documentation on the app in order to receive the subsidy.
The Department of Agricultural Engineering has given Rs 4.06 lakh to subsidize machinery rentals for use on 1,624 acres of farmland to support this project. A total of Rs 3.30 lakh is set aside for general category farmers, while Rs 76,000 is set aside for farmers from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
