The 100 e-buses are the city's first fleet of electric buses operated by the Delhi Metro.

Today, The top officials claimed that the Delhi Metro will begin handing over its fleet of 100 feeders e-buses to the city government in April. These e-buses are currently operating on six routes throughout the city.
According to the official, the 100 e-buses are the city's first fleet of electric buses operated by the Delhi Metro. These e-buses are currently operating on six routes throughout the city. The feeder buses provide services to outlying locations and receive payments via DMRC smart cards. Officials claimed in late December last year that the Delhi government would soon acquire DMRC's fleet of electric buses to provide access to outlying areas.
"From April 2023 onwards, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will pass over all buses to the Delhi government," a DMRC official told PTI.
DMRC officials stated in July of last year that running Delhi Metro feeder buses in inner districts was no longer sustainable due to underutilization. Late last year, officials announced that the Delhi government would soon take over the DMRC's fleet of electric buses in order to improve last-mile connectivity.
According to the plan, feeder buses would be taken over by the Delhi government's transport department for operations. According to officials, the transportation department will operate the feeder buses on a per-kilometre basis, with operators being paid based on the distance travelled during the day.
The Cabinet recently resolved to take over 100 of the DMRC's existing electric buses and operate an additional 380 feeder buses under the transport department in 2023.
The Delhi government stated in a statement, "Since December 2019, DMRC has been operating feeder e-buses in the east and north clusters from the Shastri Park and Majlis Park depots. The transport department will operate these buses via the Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS). In addition, six stations have been identified for the operation of an extra 380 electric buses: Welcome, Kohat Enclave, Rithala, Nangloi, Mundka, and Dwarka."
The DMRC will build the depots at these locations.
