The company has built common rail systems for tractors while keeping Indian conditions in mind. It is an oil-lubricated technology that allows tractors to transition from mechanical to common rail systems.

Delphi-TVS Technologies, a joint venture of BorgWarner and TV Sundaram Iyengar & Sons, has produced three million common rail injection systems (CRIS) at its Oragadam, Chennai, factory.
Beginning with the first batch of CRIS provided to Tata Motors' Safari 3.0 L in 2009, the firm achieved its first million in six years, the second in five years, and the third in three years.
A senior company official said that Delhi TVS Technologies Ltd, a diesel automobile common rail systems, will invest roughly Rs 450 crore in expanding its capacities and is also considering expanding into other precision engineering goods.
The Rs 1,800 crore company, part of the $8 billion TVS group, is also looking into the tractor and commercial vehicle categories for its common rail systems.
"The group is also looking at new fuel-powered divisions. The group company Lucas TVS will manufacture lithium-ion batteries. Electricity is one of the new fuels," T.K. Balaji, Chairman and Managing Director stated.
Even if certain automobile manufacturers have discontinued producing diesel-powered vehicles, he claims that there are still diesel-powered vehicles in various categories of the car market.
He stated that the corporation is looking into the tractor market for common rail systems. Inline systems are being used by tractors.
Furthermore, Chief Technology Officer B. Viswanathan stated that the company has built common rail systems for tractors while keeping Indian conditions in mind. It is an oil-lubricated technology that allows tractors to transition from mechanical to common rail systems.
Balaji stated that the company is creating goods from the ground up. Furthermore, because common rail systems are capital and technology expensive, there are only three global players.
According to Viswanathan, common rail systems are a high precision-engineered product that the company intends to exploit to enter new markets.
