In collaboration with Tummoc, the government has introduced a single-journey ticket system, making it more accessible and user-friendly.

Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot announced that a fleet of 500 electric buses is set to hit the streets of the national capital on January 23. The initiative is part of Delhi's commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and combating air pollution.
During a bus ride on a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus, Minister Gahlot interacted with passengers to encourage the use of public transport. Currently, 1,300 electric buses are operating on Delhi roads, and with the addition of 500 more on January 23, the total count will reach 1,800.
Speaking about the significance of public transport in reducing pollution, Minister Gahlot emphasized, "I urge the people of Delhi to prioritize the use of public transport. This will save money and contribute to a cleaner and greener city."
Highlighting the convenience of digital services, Gahlot shared that he booked his bus ticket using the 'One Delhi' mobile app. The app is part of the government's efforts to streamline and modernize the public transportation system.
Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has collaborated with the Tummoc travel app to simplify commuting. The partnership aims to provide a simple and single platform for bus, metro and cab bookings, eliminating the need for multiple websites.
The trial phase of the government's "single-journey ticket" project has started. DTC officials express confidence that this initiative will improve the commuting experience for Delhiites.
In collaboration with Tummoc, the government has introduced a single-journey ticket system, making it more accessible and user-friendly. This move is expected to further encourage residents to opt for electric buses and contribute to the city's sustainability goals.
In Delhi, you only need one ticket for your entire journey. Whether you're taking the bus, three-wheeler (autorickshaws) or metro the same ticket will get you from where you start to where you want to go.
As of December 2023, the Delhi government had a fleet of 7,232 buses, including 4,391 operated by DTC and 2,841 operated by the Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS). People in Delhi prefer to use buses – every day, a massive 41 lakh people travel. And now, with this new single-journey ticket system, getting around the city will be a lot easier.
The introduction of 500 electric buses aligns with Delhi's commitment to becoming a leader in green and eco-friendly urban mobility. The move is expected to have a positive impact on both air quality and the overall commuting experience for residents.
