The all-new Potenza Race, created for track admirers looking to perform and push the limits, is a semi-slick tire homologated for public roads but with performance centred on track days, according to a release from Bridgestone Tire.

Bridgestone Americas has introduced the Bridgestone Potenza Race tyre, the latest addition to its famous ultra-high performance Potenza series.
The all-new Potenza Race, created for track admirers looking to perform and push the limits, is a semi-slick tire homologated for public roads but with performance centred on track days, according to a release from Bridgestone Tire.
According to independent organization TÜV SÜD tests, the new Bridgestone Potenza Race tire delivers the fastest lap time and the shortest braking on dry pavement, putting racing enthusiasts in control at high speeds. Bridgestone's new leading tire offers the finest track control in dry circumstances among these important competitors, as well as exceptional longevity, according to the firm.
Bridgestone's lengthy history and expertise in motorsports and high performance have resulted in the latest addition to the Potenza tire collection. Bridgestone's expertise in Formula One racing, which saw the company supply tires to Formula One teams from 1997 through 2010, including the winner of six consecutive titles for Ferrari, inspired the now-iconic Potenza portfolio.
The incredible performance of the Bridgestone Potenza Race tire is made possible through innovation in the tire's tread pattern, construction, and material composition. The tire was created utilizing the findings of significant market research conducted by Bridgestone, which focused on what circuit drivers demand from an ultra-high-performance tire.
The adoption of Bridgestone's revolutionary Virtual Tire Development technology shortened and made more sustainable the Potenza Race tire development. This allows Bridgestone to design and test a digital representation of an in-development tire, allowing them to predict how a tire would perform in diverse conditions before physically building prototypes.
This technology enhances Bridgestone's rigorous research process, which includes on-road testing, by allowing it to test much more variants in the virtual world and aids in delivering world-class tire performance to the market faster and more economically. This environmentally friendly solution saves 33% of raw materials and cuts real-world testing by 6,000 kilometres.
Bridgestone's new Potenza Race tire, developed and manufactured in Europe, is available in 13 popular sizes ranging from 17 to 20 inches. Potenza Race is intended to support the most popular street and track sports vehicles and supercars, such as Maserati, Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, Lamborghini, BMW M, Audi RS, Mercedes-AMG, and others.
