Direct Sowing Technique
Direct sowing is recommended for these varieties as it conserves water and boosts yield. There are two methods:
- Tarbatar Method:
- After harvesting wheat, plough the field, water it, and leave it for three days.
- Label the field and then sow the seeds.
- Spray weedicide 20 days after sowing to eliminate weeds without harming the crop.
- Second Method:
- Sow paddy seeds directly after harvesting wheat.
- Water the field 15-20 days post-sowing and spray herbicide within 48 hours to control weeds.
By following these methods, farmers can efficiently grow Pusa Basmati varieties, leading to higher yields and increased profits.
