The Bihar State Seed Corporation Limited is inviting applications for the appointment of seed dealers and distributors. This initiative aims to ensure the availability of quality seeds for farmers. Districts for Seed Dealer Appointments 

The government will appoint seed dealers and distributors in various districts across Bihar. The targeted districts include:

• Araria
• Banka
• Katihar
• Kishanganj
• Lakhisarai
• Munger
• Madhepura
• Saharasa
• Sulaul

Additionally, appointments will be made in 38 other districts such as Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Patna, Siwan, Samastipur, and West Champaran.

Eligibility Criteria for Seed Dealers

To qualify as a seed dealer, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Permanent resident of Bihar
• Possession of a GST number
• Registration of a shop
• Graduation in Chemistry
• Ownership or lease of land for the seed shop

• Application form for Seed Dealer
• Aadhaar card
• Photocopy of seed sale license
• GST Number and PAN Number
• Application Fee
• Security deposit check

Application Fee and Security Deposit

The application fee for becoming a seed dealer is Rs 1,500. A security deposit of Rs 25,000 is also required. Additionally, applicants must have a warehouse with a capacity of 200 quintals for seed storage.

Applications can be submitted online through the official website: Bihar State Seed Corporation. On the homepage, click on the "License Application" option. A new page will open with details for both dealers and distributors. Register online to complete your application.

Upcoming Appointments for Agriculture Coordinators

The government plans to fill vacant posts for Agriculture Coordinators soon. Bihar Agriculture Minister Mangal Pandey announced this during the distribution of appointment letters to new Agriculture Coordinators. Currently, 2,400 Coordinators are working against 4,391 approved posts. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will soon release results for 866 block agriculture officer exams and issue appointment letters to 155 new Assistant Directors. Filling these vacancies will enhance the delivery of agricultural schemes and improve farmer support.
