Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck, has introduced the 'BharatBenz Rakshana' uptime assurance program.
The Rakshana program covers routine maintenance, running repairs, and vehicle breakdowns. Around 98 per cent of trucks and buses that arrive at BharatBenz service centres are serviced and returned to customers within 48 hours.
However, if the service delivery time exceeds 48 hours, BharatBenz will compensate the consumer in accordance with the Rakshana program terms and conditions. The compensation for the service's late completion will be a proportion of the service's cost.
The Rakshana program guarantees that BharatBenz vehicles and buses will be serviced and delivered within 48 hours. BharatBenz on-road haulage trucks, tippers, tractor-trailers, and buses all have this feature as standard.
This is in addition to the active powertrain warranty, which is provided at the time of purchase and ensures quick delivery of vehicles that report to authorized BharatBenz service centres.
"We are also improving the efficiency of our technicians to reskill and upskill through BharatBenz Regional Training Centres," stated Rajaram K, VP Of BharatBenz Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service at DICV.
To address the rising client base across India, the firm is planning to increase touchpoints and service bays by 13% and 17%, respectively, by December 2023.
BharatBenz currently has over 300 touchpoints across India, covering national highways on the Golden Quadrilateral North-South and East-West Corridors, with consumers reached within two hours on these roads.
Its trucks are rated among the safest in the sector due to crash-tested cabins in India that meet the highest safety standards as per European cab-crash laws that have not yet been implemented in India.
Truck Launches in India From Jan - March 2026 (Q1 2026)
