EKA Mobility plans to produce over 700 electric buses and 5000+ electric LCVs in India.

EKA Mobility, a Leading electric mobility player, has launched its 1.5-tonne electric Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) and showcased the EKA 9 Staff Bus at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. The vehicles aim to meet modern logistics needs with enhanced performance, lower operational costs, and reduced environmental impact.

Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Founder & Chairman of EKA Mobility, expressed confidence in setting new global standards for sustainability and performance. The EKA K1.5 range features a 300-volt electrical system, 60kW peak power, and a comprehensive warranty for worry-free usage.

Focusing on indigenous software development, EKA Mobility aims to provide a tailored software ecosystem for greater customization, optimization, security, and reliability. The company plans to produce over 700 electric buses and 5000+ electric LCVs in India.

EKA Mobility's commitment to advanced technologies is evident in its delivery van application for urban logistics and the innovative eutectic van designed for temperature-sensitive cargo transportation.

In a strategic move earlier this year, EKA Mobility partnered with Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Japan) and VDL Groep (Netherlands), investing over USD 100 million to position India as a global manufacturing and sourcing hub for electric vehicles. The company has also joined forces with GreenCell Mobility to supply 1000 intercity electric buses in the coming years.
