Ashok Leyland has introduced the Ecomet Star 1915 truck in the ICV market with a GVW of 18.49T.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group's Indian flagship and a renowned premier commercial vehicle manufacturer, has introduced the Ecomet Star 1915 truck in the ICV market with a GVW of 18.49T.

According to the company, this vehicle has industry-leading fluid efficiency and the best payload capacity in its sector. This truck will be available in four different loading span options. The Ecomet Star 1915 truck is designed for long-distance transport customers who value larger payload capacity and faster turnaround times.

"Ashok Leyland is complementing the rapid expansion of the ICV segment by consistently introducing unique and innovative products. We are excited to introduce the ecomet Star 1915 truck, with a GVW of 18.49T and a proven 110 kW (150 hp) H4 engine, which is excellent for long-distance applications," stated Sanjeev Kumar, President - MHCV, Ashok Leyland.

The new ecomet Star 1915 truck has exceptional fuel efficiency, shorter Turnaround Time (TAT), increased tire endurance, longer service intervals, and lower total maintenance costs.

However, as the industry anticipates a growing demand for higher payload capacity across a wide range of applications, the ecomet Star 1915 is well positioned to meet the logistical needs of Ashok Leyland's customers in areas such as e-commerce, parcel delivery, fresh produce transportation, auto parts, FMCG, and more.

According to Ashok Leyland, the company has established itself as the market leader in the over-16-tonne GVW ICV segment. The company claims that it is due to the success of its popular products, which include the ecomet Star 1615, 1815, and 1815+ trucks.

However, as the industry anticipates a growing demand for higher payload capacity across a wide range of applications, the ecomet Star 1915 will be the perfect option to meet the logistical needs of Ashok Leyland's customers in areas such as e-commerce, parcel delivery, fresh produce transportation, auto parts, FMCG, and more.
