Because of AGCO's rapid growth in North America, there is a higher need for technicians to service equipment from its well-known brands.

AGCO Corporation, a global leader in agricultural machinery design, production, and marketing, and smart farming technologies announced a significant expansion of its technician training program in conjunction with Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois, USA.
Thanks to a $5 million grant from AGCO Corporation, the college will construct a new cutting-edge training center on its campus. The campus will host a new AGCO Agricultural Service Technician Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degree program, which will teach students about AGCO-branded equipment and cutting-edge precision ag technology from Fendt® and Massey Ferguson®, as well as general ag principles.
Classes for the program will begin this autumn using the space already available at Parkland College, and it will accept students sponsored by AGCO dealerships. The new 25,000 square-foot structure that will serve as the program's long-term home will officially break ground in the summer of 2023.
Because of AGCO's rapid growth in North America, there is a higher need for technicians to service equipment from its well-known brands.
The two-year program will shift students between classwork and fieldwork using a work-based learning methodology, and successful participants will get fully accredited associate degrees. Students will also earn AGCO certification upon completion of the AGCO Levels 1, 2, and 3. This certification covers the operation of AGCO equipment, basic troubleshooting, and the use of technical service information.
Students will also receive knowledge and hands-on expertise with AGCO-based information systems such as service, warranty, and parts data.
