To promote water-saving irrigation systems and improve crop yield, the Bihar government is offering up to 80% subsidy to farmers on drip and mini sprinkler irrigation techniques under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY), Micro Irrigation 2025–26.
This scheme is being implemented by the Directorate of Horticulture, Department of Agriculture, Bihar, to help farmers irrigate their fields efficiently using modern irrigation technologies.

Bihar often faces extreme weather conditions. While some parts of the state get flooded during the rainy season, others face severe water shortages in summer, causing heavy crop losses. To solve these problems and promote water conservation, the government is encouraging the use of drip and sprinkler systems, which use much less water and improve productivity.
Under this scheme, farmers who apply and are selected will receive:
Up to 80% subsidy on the total cost of drip irrigation systems
Up to 80% subsidy on mini sprinkler systems
This financial support aims to reduce irrigation costs and help farmers get higher crop yields at a lower investment.

Choose to apply for “Individual Drip Irrigation” or “Mini Sprinkler Subsidy”.
Fill out the online registration form with the correct details.
Submit the form after entering all the required information.
After successful submission, the application will be reviewed, and eligible farmers will be selected for the subsidy benefit.
