The Pashu Kisan Credit Card is a credit scheme launched by the Indian government for animal husbandry farmers.

Introduction of Pashu Kisan Credit Card by the Government of India has come as a boon for animal husbandry farmers, as it offers financial assistance for their business ventures.   1. Livestock owners can apply for a loan amount of up to Rs. 3 lakh. The scheme offers loans of Rs. 60,249 per buffalo, Rs. 40,783 per cow, Rs. 720 per egg-laying hen, and Rs. 4,063 per sheep/goat. No guarantee is required for loans up to Rs. 1.6 lakh.
  2. The interest rate for loans provided by financial institutions/banks is 7.00%. However, under the Pashu Kisan Credit Card scheme, livestock owners can avail loans at a lower interest rate of 4.00%.
  3. The loan amount and interest must be repaid within five years.
  4. Loans will be provided to cattle owners in six equal instalments.
  5. The Central Government provides a rebate of 3.00%.

  4. Dairy - For dairy, farmers, dairy farmers (individual or joint borrower), joint liability groups, and self-help groups (tenant farmers having owned/leased sheds rented) can apply for the credit card.
