Established in 2008, the joint venture has played a pivotal role in modernizing India’s commercial vehicle sector.
Aggarwal highlighted that the venture not only contributed to local industry growth but also helped Volvo Group source engines and components from India for its global operations. He credited the success of the venture to the combination of Volvo Group's technological expertise and Eicher’s understanding of the Indian market.

The company has embraced smart manufacturing practices, with its Bhopal plant being a standout example. Developed with Industry 4.0 principles, this plant integrates advanced technologies to improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
VECV has also introduced innovative digital solutions to enhance the productivity and efficiency of its fleet. The MyEicher app and a fully connected fleet system, along with the Uptime Center, offer real-time data and predictive maintenance capabilities, ultimately reducing downtime and improving the overall performance of the vehicles.
