VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV) has announced a major leadership transition. The company has appointed B Srinivas as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), effective April 1, 2026. At the same time, Vinod Aggarwal will take over as Chairman of the Board, representing Eicher Motors Limited.
This leadership change marks an important step in the company’s long-term strategy and future growth plans in the commercial vehicle sector.
B Srinivas brings more than three decades of experience with Eicher and has handled several key roles across strategy, sales, marketing, operations, and product planning.
Since 2024, he has been serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of VECV. Before that, he worked as Head of Product Strategy & Purchasing from 2022 to 2024. Between 2018 and 2022, he led the Eicher Bus business at VECV, playing an important role in strengthening the company’s position in the bus segment.
With his deep understanding of the commercial vehicle market, strong cross-functional experience, and leadership capabilities, Srinivas is expected to lead the company into its next phase of growth.
Following Srinivas’ appointment, Vinod Aggarwal, currently Vice Chairman of Eicher Motors Limited, will become the Chairman of VECV from April 1, 2026 as the nominee of Eicher Motors.
Aggarwal has led VECV for nearly sixteen years, serving first as CEO and later as Managing Director and CEO. During his leadership, the company expanded into new business segments, strengthened its product portfolio, and achieved strong growth in the commercial vehicle industry.
He will take over the chairman role from Sofia Frändberg, who completes her three-year term as Chairperson and nominee of AB Volvo. Sofia will continue to remain on the Board of VECV.
VECV has also announced another board-level change. Rajinder Singh Sachdeva, who recently retired as Deputy CEO and Chief Transformation Officer, has been nominated to the Board of VECV as a representative of Eicher Motors Limited.
He replaces Raul Rai, who is stepping down as Director after serving the company since its inception. The board expressed its appreciation for Rai’s contributions over the years.
Siddhartha Lal, Chairman of Eicher Motors Ltd., welcomed the leadership change and expressed confidence in the new CEO.
He said B Srinivas’ appointment strengthens VECV’s long-term strategy and leadership continuity. Lal also highlighted that he has worked with Srinivas for over 25 years, praising his hands-on leadership, strategic thinking, and customer-focused approach. According to Lal, Srinivas’ technological understanding and collaborative style will help the company achieve its future goals.
Speaking about Vinod Aggarwal’s contribution, Lal noted that Aggarwal has spent 43 years with the Eicher Group, including serving as Group CFO of Eicher Motors. Under his leadership, VECV built strong foundations, expanded into new markets and segments, and emerged as a key player in the Indian commercial vehicle industry.
Sofia Frändberg, Chairperson of VECV and a senior leader at Volvo Group, said the company represents a successful partnership between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors.
Since the joint venture was formed in 2008, VECV has focused on strong growth strategies and investments in products, technology, manufacturing capacity, and network expansion. These efforts have helped the company become an important player in the commercial vehicle market.
She congratulated both Srinivas and Aggarwal on their new roles and expressed support for the company’s next phase of growth.
Commenting on the transition, Vinod Aggarwal congratulated B Srinivas and said his extensive experience and deep understanding of the company will help drive the next stage of growth.
Aggarwal added that Srinivas’ strategic vision and versatile business experience make him well suited to accelerate VECV’s growth trajectory.
Speaking about his appointment, B Srinivas said his journey with Eicher has been remarkable. Having spent 31 years with the organization in both commercial and technical roles, including the last two years as COO of VECV, he looks forward to leading the company into the next phase.
