Tata Motors has reported strong performance in its commercial vehicle (CV) business for February 2026. The company recorded total CV sales of 42,940 units, reflecting a solid 32% year-on-year growth compared to 32,533 units sold in February 2025.
The growth was supported by strong domestic demand and steady export performance across key truck and passenger carrier segments.

In the domestic market, the company sold 40,893 units in February 2026, registering a 32.8% growth over 30,797 units sold in February 2025.
Exports also showed positive momentum, with 2,047 units shipped in February 2026 compared to 1,736 units in February 2025, marking a 17.9% growth.

The company witnessed growth across all major commercial vehicle categories, including HCV, ILMCV, Passenger Carriers, and SCV Cargo & Pickup.
The HCV segment delivered strong growth of 37.10%. Sales increased to 13,559 units in February 2026 from 9,892 units in February 2025.
Higher infrastructure development, construction projects, and long-haul logistics demand supported this segment’s performance.
The ILMCV category recorded a 34.10% growth, with sales rising to 7,577 units compared to 5,652 units in the same month last year.
Regional cargo movement and distribution activities contributed to this steady demand.
Passenger Carrier sales grew by 27.40%, reaching 5,548 units in February 2026, up from 4,355 units in February 2025.
Demand from school transportation, staff mobility, and public transport requirements supported growth in this segment.
The SCV Cargo & Pickup segment posted a 30.40% growth, with sales increasing to 14,209 units compared to 10,898 units last year.
This segment continues to play a key role in last-mile delivery, e-commerce logistics, and small business transport operations.
