Switch Mobility, a global electric bus and light commercial vehicle manufacturer under the Hinduja Group, has delivered 100 electric buses to the Government of Mauritius. This marks the largest-ever export of electric buses from India. The final batch of 90 buses was officially handed over by Dr. S Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, to Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, Prime Minister of Mauritius. The event included senior dignitaries from both countries.

The buses were procured through an open tender process managed by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) in India. The National Transport Corporation (NTC), Mauritius’ state-owned public transport operator, will operate these electric buses. The delivery forms part of a government-to-government initiative, with India donating 100 electric buses to Mauritius.
