After harvesting wheat, many farmers are left with empty fields before sowing the Kharif crop. This is a great opportunity to grow moong (green gram). Moong grows quickly, sells well in the market, and also improves soil health by increasing nutrients in the field. This makes moong a profitable and soil-friendly crop.
To support this, scientists have developed two improved varieties of moong that give higher yield and better resistance to diseases. Let’s learn more about these varieties.
