redBus is Offering Daily Connectivity for 1.5 Lakh Devotees to Ayodhya

The top intercity bus routes, by volume, include Delhi–Ayodhya, Jaipur–Ayodhya, and Dehradun–Ayodhya. Meanwhile, the top intrastate (Uttar Pradesh) routes include Varanasi–Ayodhya, Lucknow–Ayodhya, Prayagraj–Ayodhya, Mathura–Ayodhya, and Agra–Ayodhya.

The online platform, redBus, connects Ayodhya to various major cities including Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Indore and Patna.

As the occasion of the historic ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches, redBus, a prominent online bus ticketing platform, is playing a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth travel of devotees from various regions, including Maharashtra. The western state has emerged with the longest routes to Ayodhya, including cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur, with an approximate travel time of 40 hours.

Buses in India are known for their widespread reach, ease of access, and affordability, and have become the first choice of transportation for devotees attending the sacred event.

redBus, which provides more than 150,000 bus seats every day, is actively helping the pilgrimage by providing 339 services per day from various regions, including both Regional Transport Corporations (RTCs) and private bus operators. According to a statement made by redBus, devotees from all around the country are using these services to attend the historic occasion.

The online platform connects various major cities to Ayodhya, including Delhi, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Indore, and Patna. The company currently provides 130 services per day in these cities, and this number is expected to increase to 200 services per day soon, according to the company's statement.

Prakash Sangam, CEO of redBus, emphasized the increasing demand for travel to Ayodhya and the efforts being made to accommodate it. "As the market leader in the bus ticketing space, catering to a large proportion of travellers to Ayodhya, we are working continuously with UPSRTC and other partner bus operators to facilitate the smooth travel of devotees and make this occasion memorable for them," stated Sangam.

To meet the rising demand, both roadway buses (RTCs) and private bus operators are adding more buses. According to the redBus statement, approximately 25 new services have already been added, with many more planned for the future.
