PMI Electro Mobility Expands Electric Infrastructure in Gujarat

PMI Electro Mobility is ramping up efforts to increase electrification in Gujarat. The company opened five 240kw GBT electric bus charging stations in Gondal and signed off 22 e-buses in Rajkot.

Zero-Emission and Environmental Impact

The newly released electric buses are zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) that are expected to save over 650 tonnes of CO2 in their first year of operation, according to a press statement.

These buses are powered by fast-charging lithium-ion batteries and are outfitted with all of the latest features, including a Real Time Passenger Information System (PIS), Panic Buttons for emergency stops, Vehicle Location & Tracking System, CCTV cameras, public address system, stop request buttons, fire detection, and an alarm system, to name a few.

With this acquisition, Rajkot currently has 109 air-conditioned electric buses. Dr. Aanchal Jain, CEO of PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd, stated, "We are deeply grateful to the Rajkot Municipal Corporation officials for flagging off the electric buses and inaugurating the Gondal Charging Station. This milestone is critical in our quest for safer, cleaner, and greener transportation, contributing considerably to our country's ambitious Net Zero goal."
