Insights on Hydrogen Technology in India

The production cost of green hydrogen in India is anticipated to range between ₹240-280 per kg, surpassing that of grey and blue hydrogen variants. However, introducing subsidies of ₹40-50 per kg for specific use cases could help bridge the cost gap, rendering green hydrogen more competitive. Moreover, leveraging carbon credits has the potential to further align the cost of green hydrogen with that of grey hydrogen.

Uday Narang, the Founder of Omega Seiki Mobility, shared insights on the venture's trajectory, revealing plans to secure a USD 25 million investment from the US and European markets. In the previous year, Tata Motors unveiled the Prima H.55S, featuring an impressive 290HP engine and a remarkable torque of 1200Nm. With a substantial maximum range of 350-500km, this hydrogen-powered engine exemplifies the industry's commitment to embracing sustainable fuel alternatives.
