Omega Seiki Mobility, a subsidiary of the Anglian Omega Group, today announced a partnership with Porter, India's largest intracity logistics company, to deploy 5000+ electric cargo vehicles in Porter's last-mile delivery services across India by 2023. The OSM Rage+ EVs will help Porter's fleet grow to meet the ever-increasing demand for last-mile delivery solutions while also achieving environmental sustainability goals.
Mr Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, commented on the collaboration, and said, "We are pleased to collaborate with a renowned brand like Porter, which has been a consistent performer in the last-mile logistics market. The Rage+'s higher savings and zero emissions make it appealing to firms seeking for efficient and sustainable modes of transportation for last-mile delivery. We are delighted that Rage+, a made-in-India electric cargo, will help Porter transform its delivery fleet."
Mr Uttam Digga, Co-Founder & COO, Porter, commented on the collaboration, and said, "There is a heightened sense of curiosity in the market for EVs. As market leaders, we are excited to encourage this curiosity and bring to our audience a solution that will assist them in sustainably navigating the routes. We are pleased to have Omega Seiki Mobility on board for this journey, and we hope that with their auto industry expertise, we will be able to encourage EV adoption in the logistics sector."
Porter hopes to act as a catalyst in the development of a sustainable logistics ecosystem through this collaboration. The company currently has over 1000 EVs in its fleet and plans to increase the number of EVs by 5x by the end of 2023.
Omega Seiki Mobility has been rapidly expanding its product line and manufacturing footprint in the country. The company is the first OEM to offer two, three, and four-wheelers in its product lineup. OSM has established large-scale manufacturing facilities in the Delhi NCR area and is now looking to expand in Pune. Omega Seiki Mobility currently operates its fleet in 20 cities, covering more than 10 lakh kilometres per month. Collaboration with Porter to deploy 3W EVs will ensure maximum service efficiency, fleet utilization, and productivity for last-mile deliveries.
"Omega Seiki Mobility is the only OEM that offers Fixed, Swap, and Fast Charging on Rage+ electric three-wheelers. For Porter, we will deploy all three variants. We will use our PAN India network capability, experience, infrastructure, and resources to provide services to Porter with judiciously trained and experienced drivers who have reasonable know-how," said Mr Vivek Dhawan, Director-Marketing, Sales, and Service at Omega Seiki Mobility.
Mr Manish Gupta, Vice-President, Porter, commented on the Pan-India deployment of Omega Seiki Rage+ vehicles, and said, "This association is an important milestone in our quest to electrify our fleet across cities and reduce carbon footprint. We are excited to collaborate with Omega Seiki and other OEMs in the market to deploy their flagship brand Rage+ across India. Our collaboration will accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the ecosystem while also addressing some of the most pressing business sustainability issues and challenges."
Omega Seiki Mobility is committed to developing sustainable mobility solutions through an integrated approach that connects automobiles and society. The company's goal is to build a clean ecosystem with eco-friendly, safe, and free-flowing mobility. OSM is one of India's leading clean energy incubators and has become synonymous with the country's success in sustainability. By implementing data-driven, smart engineering, the electric vehicle manufacturing company hopes to accelerate future mobility, with green energy at its core.
