Magenta Mobility has launched the 'Project 302' initiative, which aims to decarbonize logistics operations in Bhiwandi, one of India's largest warehouse hubs. For this project, company inaugurates a new office and charging depot in Bhiwandi, using the hub-and-spoke strategy to deploy electric vehicles (EVs).

The new office will incorporate sustainable techniques such as maximising natural light to reduce HVAC electricity use, going paperless, and reducing single-use plastic with reusable cups and recycled paper bags. Magenta Mobility has also teamed with an e-waste management company to manage and recycle e-waste generated during its operations.

Project 302 is Magenta Mobility's strategic drive to improve its services to the region's e-commerce, FMCG, FCMD, and logistics industries, in line with the company's aim for a sustainable future. In support of this development, Magenta intends to hire 200 local Delivery Executives (DEs) to operate the EV fleets, offering significant job opportunities in logistics, charging operations, and field services.

Bhiwandi, recognized for its massive warehouse space of 25 million square feet, is an important site for logistics and e-commerce businesses due to its strong infrastructure and connectivity. The area's closeness to major towns and ports, combined with infrastructural projects such as Metro Line 5 and government assistance, make it an ideal location for Magenta's activities.

This site will allow Magenta Mobility to improve its service offerings and operational efficiency in Western India, particularly with access to the Mumbai-Nashik Expressway and the Western Express Highway.
