KETO Motors has signed a major agreement with the Telangana government to set up a new electric bus manufacturing facility in Jadcherla. The company will invest INR 300 crore, and the project is expected to create over 2,000 direct jobs within the next three years. The announcement was made during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 at Bharat Future City.
The Jadcherla plant will mainly produce 9-metre electric buses, helping KETO Motors expand its capacity and support India’s growing clean mobility needs. This investment strengthens Telangana’s position as a fast-growing hub for EV manufacturing.
The state government will assist the project through its TG-iPASS single-window approval system, ensuring faster clearances for statutory and regulatory needs. This support highlights the government's commitment to promoting sustainable mobility and industrial growth.
Shri D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, attended the MoU signing. He said the investment will boost the EV value chain, enhance manufacturing strength, and generate new employment opportunities.
Venkatesh Challa, Director of KETO Motors, praised Telangana as a forward-thinking state for EV manufacturing. He said the new plant will help produce world-class electric buses and strengthen India’s domestic manufacturing ecosystem.
The Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 showcased the state’s industrial potential and innovation-driven growth under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The event also featured the release of the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision document.
KETO Motors, based in Hyderabad, manufactures electric autos and buses for urban and industrial mobility. The company works closely with Tron Energy Technology, Taiwan’s largest electric bus OEM, to boost production for both the Indian and export markets.
The collaboration between KETO Motors and the Telangana government marks an important move toward strengthening India’s EV manufacturing ecosystem and supporting the future of clean transportation.
