Tata Motors has announced that it has received an order for 1,000 buses from Haryana Roadways. Tata Motors will deliver the 52-seater fully built BS6 diesel buses in stages. Features of Tata Motors buses are superior passenger comfort, superior fuel efficiency, dependability, and a low total cost of ownership. The company said in a statement that the e-bidding process was done by the Government.
Rohit Srivastava, Vice President, Product Line - Buses, Tata Motors, said, "The delivery of these buses will further strengthen our partnership with the State Government of Haryana and help in providing modern public transportation to the citizens of the state.”

The introduction of the new buses will help to improve inter-state public transportation, allowing for a smooth commute across the state of Haryana," said Navdeep Singh Virk, Principal Secretary to Government, Transport Department, Haryana.
In mid-October, Tata Motors announced that it had won a Jammu Smart City tender for 200 electric buses for Jammu and Srinagar. These vehicles will be stationed in the twin capital cities of Jammu and Kashmir. 150 units of nine-metre and 50 units of 12-metre Starbus electric buses will be supplied as part of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir's initiative for environmentally friendly public transportation.
Similarly, in August, Tata Motors was awarded a 12-year contract to supply the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) with 921 units of 12-metre electric buses. During the same month, the West Bengal Transport Corporation awarded a contract to Tata Motors for the deployment of 1,180 electric buses as part of the Convergence Energy Services' 'Grand Challenge' initiative.
Tata Motors will design, manufacture, and supply electric buses, as well as develop the charging infrastructure. It intends to complete the delivery of all e-buses by the end of 2023.
