Fresh Bus launches Unified Customer Journey, a digital platform that provides passengers with real-time updates and comprehensive travel details in one link, from booking to drop-off.
Fresh Bus Introduces Unified Customer Journey for Smoother Intercity Travel

Key Highlights:

  • Fresh Bus launched UCJ, a one-link digital journey tool.
  • Passengers get live updates, ticket info, and boarding images.
  • Link sent via SMS and WhatsApp after booking.
  • Built with React, Node, Firebase, GPS APIs, and custom CMS.
  • The only intercity bus in India offering this full digital setup.

Fresh Bus, an electric intercity bus operator in India, has launched a new digital feature called the Unified Customer Journey (UCJ), designed to make passenger travel more convenient and stress-free. This new tool offers a single digital platform that keeps travellers informed from the moment they book their ticket until they reach their destination.

A Single Link for the Entire Journey

With the UCJ, passengers receive a real-time mobile link through SMS and WhatsApp as soon as their ticket is confirmed. This link has all the important details related to the journey in one place.

Here’s what the UCJ link includes:

  • Ticket confirmation
  • Live GPS tracking of the bus
  • Contact information of the onboard bus captain
  • Images of the boarding point
  • Trip updates, including meal breaks
  • Final drop-off details

This means travelers no longer have to search multiple messages or apps to stay updated. Everything is now available in one easy-to-use link.

Built for Better Communication

Fresh Bus founder, Sudhakar Chirra, said that most questions from passengers come after the ticket is booked. People often feel confused about where to board, how to track their bus, or whom to contact in case of delays or questions. The UCJ directly tackles these concerns by offering a central, updated view of the journey. This reduces confusion and cuts down the need to contact support for basic queries.

Behind the Technology

Fresh Bus’s new UCJ platform is developed using React.js and Node.js, and it runs with support from Firebase and AWS S3 for handling static content like boarding images. The live bus tracking works through GPS APIs, and the system includes a custom-built CMS (content management system), so updates can be made route-by-route without needing engineers to step in.

The link also has a small built-in survey for collecting feedback and measuring passenger satisfaction through the Net Promoter Score (NPS), which helps the company improve services based on real user experiences.

A Unique Offering in Indian Bus Travel

While many travel services send scattered updates through various channels, Fresh Bus has taken a different approach. By combining all travel-related information into one digital journey link, it stands out from traditional operators.

Currently, Fresh Bus operates across several routes in southern India and is gradually expanding its network. It's the only intercity bus provider in the country to offer this kind of fully integrated travel experience.

CMV360 Says

Fresh Bus’s UCJ is a smart step toward making intercity bus travel more organised and less stressful. With everything from tracking to availability of contact details in one place, passengers can now focus on enjoying their journey rather than worrying about logistics. Fresh Bus is setting a new benchmark in customer service for the intercity travel segment. The UCJ could become a model for other operators who want to improve passenger experience through simple yet powerful digital solutions.
