Force Kargo King Grand pickup truck has been spotted testing on the Pune-Mumbai expressway. Showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, the Kargo King Grand is the upgraded version of the now discontinued Force Kargo King.

While it was showcased in 2020, Force Motors never launched the Kargo King Grand in India. The testing of the same model indicates a potential chance of a closing launch.

Design and Looks of the Test Mule

The recently spotted Force Kargo King Grand boasts the popular G-Wagon design from the Mercedes Benz G-Class SUV. The spy pictures reveal a more appealing design when compared to the last generation Kargo King pickup truck.

Features and Specifications of Kargo King Grand

With the G-Class inspired look, the Kargo King Grand is expected to have around 9 ft x 6ft load body and 16 inch steel wheels with heavy duty tube tyres. From the images, pull out type door handles, chunky cladding and external door hinges are visible.

Similar to the showcased version, the launch pickup truck is expected to have up to 1,500 kg payload capacity, 235 mm ground clearance, rear drum brakes and front and rear leaf spring suspension.

The Kargo King Grand interior is expected to feature the same dashboard as Gurkha and the centre console as the Force Trax Cruiser van. The vehicle may not feature the standard AC, music system, remote locking and electric windows as the MUV models.

The new and updated version of the Kargo King pickup truck is expected to be powered by the modern Mercedes-derived FM 2.6 litre CR diesel engine as many other Force tempo travellers. The expected power of the engine is around 90 HP and the peak torque of around 250 Nm.

There could be a 4x4 drivetrain version of this vehicle available in the future just like many other popular pickup trucks in the segment.
