The August 2025 report highlights contrasting trends in India’s electric three-wheeler market. E-rickshaw sales have been slowing down, reflecting weaker demand in the passenger transport segment. In contrast, e-cart sales are rising, showing growing use in urban goods delivery and logistics.
This shift underlines a positive trend for the EV industry as electric carts support sustainable and cost-efficient last-mile deliveries, helping India move closer to its clean mobility goals.
