India’s electric passenger three-wheeler (E-3W L5) segment maintained strong momentum in March 2026, driven by rising demand for cost-effective last-mile mobility solutions. As per the latest Vahan Dashboard data, Bajaj Auto, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, and TVS Motor emerged as the top three OEMs in terms of registrations.
The data is based on registrations from 1,459 out of 1,464 RTOs, covering 35 out of 36 states and UTs. Telangana data is not included, and figures are sourced as of April 2, 2026.
The segment recorded strong year-on-year (YoY) growth compared to March 2025, while month-on-month (MoM) trends remained mixed, reflecting short-term demand fluctuations.

Market leader Bajaj Auto registered 8,327 units in March 2026. The company posted 75.2% YoY growth along with 2.8% MoM growth, continuing its dominance in the segment.
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility closely followed with 8,286 registrations. The company recorded 55.5% YoY growth and a strong 22.1% MoM increase, showing aggressive expansion.
TVS Motor secured the third position with 2,770 units. The company saw a healthy 16.5% MoM growth, strengthening its foothold in the market.
Piaggio Vehicles registered 957 units. While it faced a 21.8% YoY decline, it achieved 7.9% MoM growth, indicating recovery momentum.
Omega Seiki recorded 503 units, delivering an impressive 80.3% YoY growth, though it saw a slight 5.3% MoM decline.
TI Clean Mobility posted 420 registrations, with a 21.9% YoY decline and 10.1% MoM drop, reflecting weaker demand during the month.
The March 2026 data highlights the continued rise of electric passenger three-wheelers in India’s mobility ecosystem. Strong YoY growth from key players signals growing EV adoption, especially in last-mile transport and shared mobility.
While MoM trends differ across OEMs, the segment remains supported by lower operating costs, increasing awareness, and government incentives. Competition is expected to intensify as more players expand their EV portfolios.
